    I bought 2 of these sets for my young lads as Christmas gifts. For the money they cost I have no real grounds on which to complain. You do get everything you need to start fishing (except a landing net). However, I was so unimpressed by the reels that I replaced them before our first outing. With the benefit of hindsight I should have bought individual items of higher quality. The rods are heavy (bearing in mind they are for children), the reels are so poor they barely work and the floats are unbelievably poorly made and also difficult to use (they have no eyes to take a line and have to be attached using float rubbers). For a casual introduction to angling the kit is good enough to get you catching fish but if you anticipate your youngster is likely to stick with it go and have a browse round a friendly tackle shop.
