little over a year ago I took early retirement from work. For most of my professional life I have been involved in education. Many years were spent teaching biology in various schools. More recently, I was director of a medical course at the College Access Course in London more high where I also taught anatomy, biochemistry and human physiology and maturity students.Since retirement I had to spend more time on my leisure interests. I want to share these activities as hobbies and pastimes are looking extremely rewarding. Have more time to please me now compared to the past allowed me to develop my knowledge and skills. Although I love sports such as badminton, football, rugby and cricket, my main interests lie elsewhere. In particular interest to me is out, while the other holds me when the weather is cold and keeps me occupied inside. I started fishing at the age of about 12 when I accompanied a group of boys and Grand Union Canal at Denham. Using crude tackle and not knowing what I did, within 30 seconds, I had a pole. ”” I was hooked on fishing for the life of that time. My fishing stories, and experiences are taken far too long to detail here, but a preview below. During my teenage years I did various fishing trips with friends using local school tackle basic, but reasonable. In my late teens “I borrowed my father’s car at every opportunity and tried unsuccessfully to return it free of mud and various spicy fish without the maintenance. At that time, the cane stalks were of Split current use and varieties of fiberglass were just coming on the market. Safety boxes were made of wicker and rollers were primarily center pin. Some of the newer reels slowly came into common usage but was closed a few years before bait runners, alarms, electronic key, hair platforms, fishing line high-tech rods and carbon fiber poles were invented. Innovations boilies as bait boats and bait were not yet in use. Many readers will be familiar with the details mentioned above tackle. It’s not really important. The fact is that over the years, I have enjoyed being in the countryside in a beautiful setting for wildlife watching and spent many hours in pursuit of fish cunning. I had more than my share of experiences” that got away.” From Back to my fishing history, over the years being married with children only caused temporary interruptions to my life throughout the obsession to catch fish. During my time as a teacher in a couple of different schools’ ‘I started fishing clubs.” The club’s activities expanded to proportions and expectations and parents gradually involved, inter-school matches and traveling abroad with children. During this time, I met my current fishing”” friend Keith and we organized various fishing trips and matches in the UK and Europe work together in our schools. These days our school are jobs in the past . Keith and I stay in touch and once or twice during the year we gather quietly to embark on a joint fishing venture. We mainly go fishing in rough seas and rivers and of put the fish to fight another day. For those unfamiliar with white fish, a basic list of the main species that we catch follows. In no particular order, the list includes carp, crucians, roach, rudd, tench, bream, barbel, chub, dace, perch, pike, perch, catfish and eels.Keith over the years and I’ve fished all over England. We also caught literally in snowdrifts and freezing temperatures, howling winds and torrid heat . Our expedition took us to Ireland, France, Holland and Spain. Keith had some outstanding catches, including catfish and carp to 143 pounds over 30 pounds. Some of my own best fish to date include a 25-pound carp from a private farm pond in Essex, £ 20 a pike from the River Thames at Marlow and a £ 25 pike from the River Chelmer in Chelmsford. I also landed in good sized horns perch, barbel and tench. I am now thinking ahead to fishing trips to come. I became interested in sea fishing and out on charter boats. I caught a few cod and skate Bradwell in Essex and I would go to sea more often. On my first boat trip from Looe in Cornwall, I got a £ 25 conger having first thought I had hooked to a barrier of rocks or on the seabed. I was also fascinated to watch the exotic fish being caught on the television program as giant marlin, marlin, the swordfish, shark, tuna and grouper.”” I want to go sport fishing in the Florida Keys, Maldives, Kenya, Madagascar or Mexico. There are freshwater fish so huge to be taken in Thailand while India has the legendary Mahseer. It is of course not possible to be outside fishing all the time. routines of daily life and responsibilities continue and bills must be paid . Bad weather on doors can be very daunting Sun inevitably much time is spent at home. When I have time to fill, I turn my attention to social media on the computer. I’m not a “geek” and have little knowledge of computer operations or technical jargon. Social media are well known and with a little practice of the main activities can be controlled. They are a great way to keep in touch with old friends and find new ones. New friends and supporters can be made in distant countries in which a few years ago, it was impossible to get to know people, except perhaps as “pen-friends . “Social media can also lead to finding long lost school friends and others and allow contact with the family who may be living abroad. In my own case, I took to make my own videos can be difficult and exciting that. I limit myself some time online friends have become addicted” and” perhaps spend more time online than is healthy.Spending time on the computer in modern times can certainly be classified as a recreational activity. In addition to using social media mentioned, there are many other activities available. Videos can be viewed and sent emails for instant communication. Allows browsing research to do with links to relevant sites. Research can be undertaken and in my own case, I learned a lot about UFOs (Unidentified Flying Object) history and theories, another area of my own recreational interest. These days, it is increasingly common”” showcase and buy online shopping and leisure can now be done without leaving home. The computer opens many new recreation areas, because there are so many aspects to its use . As for me, I want a degree of physical involvement in my leisure activities. I like to watch and listen to sports and I also like going outside in the fresh air to follow my own interests. In case I need to go online and keep me busy.
