A birthday present to myself,
I’ve only had the chance to use it once and that was for boat fishing. It’s no Penn but considering it’s about a fifth of the price, it performed well. There was a tendency for the anti reverse sprag clutch to slip a couple of notches immediately after the reel was set from free spool to wind. It didn’t show any tendency to slip when winding – even when I hooked the bottom and had to break the supplied 50lb line to get free. The slippng clutch worked fine but needed careful adjustment. It’s not very sensitive. Time – and lots more fishing trips – will tell how durable it is. Happily, the end result was mackerel for tea.

|Good Reel shame about the line,
This is a good reel bought as a present for my husband advertised with 50lb line but came with 20lb line not much good for boat fishing in the North Sea. he ended having to to buy the 50lb line and change it as I gave it to him two days before the big fishing trip with the lads disapointed.
